Description:
We're seeking a skilled
Network Engineer
to join our team in Columbus, OH. This is an on-site, contract-to-hire opportunity where you'll play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining high-performance network infrastructure. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies from vendors like Juniper, Cisco, and Arista, and contribute to the evolution of our network architecture with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
Design and implement network infrastructure with a focus on compliance and security
Perform hardware architecture tasks including performance testing, monitoring, and operations
Conduct hardware benchmarking and support Agile program and network management
Plan and provision network engineering solutions across multiple technologies
Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams
Apply observability patterns to improve service level indicators, objectives, and alerting
Execute small to medium-sized projects independently, with potential to lead larger initiatives
Identify and eliminate operational toil through systems engineering and automation
Minimum Qualifications
Strong networking skills with hands-on experience in
Juniper, Cisco, or Arista
Proven ability to build, deploy, and configure network hardware from at least one of the above vendors
Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
Proficiency in multiple infrastructure technologies
Familiarity with observability tools and monitoring best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
SSE, SASE, SD-WAN, and WiFi technologies
Understanding of network compliance and security design principles
Background in Agile methodologies and program management
Ability to recognize and reduce operational toil through automation
