Estimator - Construction (Design-Build Focus) Snellville, GA | Full-Time | $100,000 - $125,000 per year About the Company: Our client, a leading contractor in the Snellville, GA area, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing corporate team. With a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across construction, mechanical, and civil engineering sectors, they are looking for someone with design-build estimating expertise who can lead the preconstruction process and deliver accurate, competitive estimates. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Break down estimates to clearly define man-hours, resources, and tasks per scope. Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and field staff to organize project schedules and timelines. Source, qualify, and solicit subcontractors and suppliers; ensure prequalification steps are completed. Secure pricing and issue subcontracts for comprehensive project coverage. Update cost databases regularly (wage rates, materials, equipment). Research new market opportunities and assess industry viability. Produce accurate and timely cost reports for management decision-making. Utilize Primavera software for scheduling and project integration (preferred). Maintain strong client relationships and support success through clear communication and strategic insights. Ensure all deliverables comply with company procedures and client expectations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Construction, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (required). 3-5 years of construction estimating experience , preferably in design-build projects. Strong understanding of construction methods , materials, and industry terminology. Proficiency with estimating software (Primavera preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate across multiple departments and client teams. Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities under pressure. Proven experience in managing estimating teams and working collaboratively with field operations. Ability to maintain composure under deadlines and contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented work environment . Salary & Benefits: Competitive base salary: $100,000 - $125,000 based on experience.
