Advertised Job Summary:Performs duties in the operation and maintenance of the University of South Carolinas Energy Department.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Knowledge of high voltage distribution systems and the effects of work actions.
- Hard working, dependable and has safety as priority one.
- Maintains and follows a safe, productive, cost effective comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for reliable operations related to all campus wide high voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to building, energy plant, manholes, tunnels and direct bury electrical systems by receiving work orders;
- Communicating with the supervisor, planning, inspecting, verifying, communicating,

- Assisting with ensuring that all facility high voltage systems are in safe working order and compliant with national and local codes and regulations while exhibiting professionalism in conduct, appearance, and work practices

Job Duty:- Assist with installs, repairs and maintains existing high voltage electrical distribution systems(s), including but not limited to high voltage cable, switches, transformers, terminations and test equipment.
