Position: Regional Safety Manager

The Regional Safety Manager ensures compliance with federal, state, and company safety policies across multiple geotechnical construction projects. This role involves evaluating projects through site inspections, focusing on both leading and lagging indicators. The Safety Manager provides leadership, consultation, and training on-site, and fosters strong working relationships with project teams, employees, and clients. The position supports operations by mitigating risk, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing the company's safety program. This position reports to the Corporate Safety Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and/or review job site audits with project team management

  • Advise and lead employees on safety-related topics, trainings, and compliance issues

  • Support weekly safety meetings, reviewing leading and lagging indicators

  • Participate in pre-construction and other job meetings to assist in safety-related matters

  • Administer and review Site-Specific Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analysis

  • Ensure staff are properly trained in safety protocols

  • Facilitate new employee safety orientation

  • Lead incident investigations and report claims

  • Manage injuries until the employee returns to full duty

  • Prepare and present reports on accidents, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety & Health Management, Occupational Safety and Health, or Environmental Health and Safety

  • 3+ years of EHS experience (field experience preferred)

  • OSHA 30-hour outreach training certification

  • CSP, CHST, or OSHA 500 certifications preferred

  • Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA construction standards and hazard control methods

  • Proven ability to conduct EHS training

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the Los Angeles region

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 , based on experience
