Job Title: Directional Drill Operator Helper
Job Description: An entry-level position in directional drill operating, that helps the directional drill operator on the job site with boring, locates, and clean up.

Primary Responsibilities:
Record required drilling data.
Perform maintenance and repair on drilling equipment and other assigned equipment.
Works around excessive noise form machines (backhoe, trencher, mini excavator, concrete saw, jackhammers)
Have knowledge of utility depths and placement.
Possess general knowledge of construction practices and be familiar with equipment, including routine service and maintenance.
Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
Maintainpany equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Will have contact with public and private property owners to professionallymunicate work to be performed.
Participates inpany training of all regional safety guidelines and is required to perform all work by the regional safety policies.
Operates various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers,e-alongs, jack hammer and hand-line etc.).
All other duties as required or requested by Supervisor.
Reports all potential equipment and crew safety hazards to Foreperson
Minimum Qualification:
Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather whilepleting work assignments, i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold.
Must be able to traverse various terrains.
Must be able tomunicate with others.
Must be able to maintain attention during dangerous tasks.
Must be able to follow directions, work safely & productively
May be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc.
Education and Experience:
0 - 1 years of experience
Be able to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications that you have obtained during your career.
Traveling Requirements:
Must be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.
Driver License:
Valid Driver's license is required, but must be willing to obtain valid CDL within 90 days of employment. If unable to obtain, please discuss this during the interview process.
Safety:
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather whilepleting work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8 or 10-hour day, be able tomunicate with others, read, write, andprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, andmunicate and handle conflict professionally.
Pre-Screen:
Upon offer, employees may be required toplete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
Physical requirements:
Rarely (less than 10%): Sitting, Crawling, and Climbing Poles
Occasionally (up to 33%): Stooping, Kneeling, Squatting, Body Twisting, Sense of Touch, Range of Motion, Pushing, Climbing Ladders, Climbing Stairs, Balancing, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
