McBride Homes Land Strategy seeks an Estimator to provide accurate and detailed quantity estimates for residential land development projects. McBride Land Strategy is a leader in residential land development in Missouri. Salary range : $55,000 - $65,000 / yr.

Responsibilities include :

Review and interpret civil engineering plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports

Quantify materials and labor using takeoff software and manual methods

Develop detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for site development scopes

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and clarify scope.

Maintain and update unit cost data, historical pricing, and productivity factors

Identify value engineering opportunities and potential scope risks

Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed

Support the transition from estimating to operations with a clear handoff and project documentation

Requirements :

Demonstrated high proficiency using Microsoft Excel

Strong understanding of civil construction components including grading, utilities, and paving

Demonstrated proficiency using estimating / production software (Bluebeam and Planswift)

High School Diploma or equivalent. Preference given to candidates with associate or bachelor's degree

Minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating (residential or commercial)

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
