Roadway Design Engineer

We are seeking a detail oriented Roadway Design Engineer for our client in the Duluth, GA area. This is a fully remote contract to hire position focused on roadway/highway design, where you will contribute to all phases of project development from conceptual layouts and roadway geometrics to drainage, construction plans, and right of way planning. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering with also having design proficiency in Microstation's OpenRoads and InRoads for DOT projects. responsibilities:

• Provide roadway and site design, conceptual layouts, roadway geometrics, drainage, and right of way plans
  
  
• Construction planning for construction staging, erosion and sedimentation control, and preparing final construction plans
  
  
• Work closely with the engineering team to provide technical support and various related design tasks
  
  
• Utilize Microstation InRoads and OpenRoads to accurately design and draft roadway/highway projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  
  
• Proficient in softwares such as InRoads and OpenRoads, AutoCAD and Civil 3D are nice to have
  
  
• Previous experience designing projects for the DOT
  
  
• E.I.T certification with the desire to obtain P.E is preferred
