The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace/defense electrical systems, a deep understanding of industry compliance standards, and the ability to work independently within a high-security, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and install aerospace-grade wire harnesses, terminal boards, and electrical connectors.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and work instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Perform precision terminations using soldering and crimping tools in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and MIL-STD requirements.
  • Execute continuity checks, insulation resistance testing, and power-on verification procedures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical harness issues during integration and test phases.
  • Document redline changes, support engineering change orders, and provide feedback on manufacturability.
  • Interface with engineering, quality, and program teams both in-person and remotely.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace/defense standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, military, or defense-related electrical assembly or harness work.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex aerospace wiring schematics and layout drawings.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification required; J-STD-001 or NASA-STD-8739.4 certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with D38999, M39029, or other mil-spec connectors and materials.
  • Experience with wire routing, shielding, and EMI mitigation techniques in aerospace applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required (U.S. citizenship is mandatory).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital documentation tools.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid Schedule: Onsite work required for hands-on fabrication and testing; remote flexibility available for documentation, team meetings, and planning tasks.
  • Clean, climate-controlled lab/shop environment with state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering teams focused on mission-critical technologies.
