Network Facilities Supervisor (Part-Time: 25-30 Hours a Week)
Position Summary:Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Network Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and operation of all school buildings, systems, and grounds. This position combines technical hands-on work in areas such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs , with supervisory duties including managing each campus' Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, coordinating outside vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. This individual will spend 95% of their time leading facilities efforts for all three LSC campuses.
The ideal candidate is a working supervisor who can lead by example, manage multiple priorities, and keep the schools facilities operating efficiently and safely.
Work Schedule: 25-30 Hours a Week
Number of Days: Year-Round
FSLA Classification: Exempt
Supervise and coordinate daily work of Lead Facilities Maintenance Technicians at all campuses.
Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to facilities team members.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair work.
Maintain maintenance schedules and staff coverage plans.
Perform skilled work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility repairs.
Conduct preventive maintenance on key systems (e.g., boilers, air handlers, electrical panels).
Inspect buildings and grounds regularly to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
Ensure all areas of the school are clean, functional, and ready for daily operations.
Coordinate and supervise work performed by external contractors or service providers.
Obtain quotes, review contracts, and ensure work is completed to standards and on time.
Ensure compliance with warranties, permits, and building codes.
Ensure all maintenance and operations meet local, state, and federal regulations.
Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, safety checks, and service logs.
Lead the facilities response during emergency situations (e.g., floods, power outages, fire alarms).
Support school safety drills and emergency preparedness efforts.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Develop and manage facilities maintenance schedules and logs.
Assist in developing and managing the facilities budget.
Prepare reports and updates for school leadership as needed.
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certifications strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of facilities, maintenance, or trades experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a small team.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in using tools, maintenance software, and basic office applications.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
Must pass a background check and be eligible to work in a school setting.
Salary: $40,000-60,000
The pay for this job will be based off of experience relevant the the position and qualifies for PEBA health & dental benefits. The individual must be able to work during all scheduled calendar breaks of the school year to supervise facilities projects with eight personal leave days while accruing one sick leave day a month.
