Location: St. Louis, Missouri Salary Range:80-85/hr Introduction
We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team. The role involves working on electrical components, assemblies, and managing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages. This position is integral to our production cycle and requires a proactive approach to component management and obsolescence mitigation.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Applicants must have interim secret clearance.
- Must have a BS Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (No “EE Technology” Degrees).
- Experience with obsolescence management, DMS, parts management, managing Bills of Material (BOMs), or researching alternate components.
- Five or more years of experience in an obsolescence management / DMSMS / component engineering role.
- Military experience.
- Avionics experience.
- Apply engineering knowledge to evaluate new electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components for assembly and subassembly design.
- Support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure electronic components are qualified for use according to contracts and the Parts Management Plan.
- Conduct obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using various tools and surveys.
- Develop obsolescence mitigation options and business case analyses.
- Prepare and present material on DMSMS case issues and proposed resolutions.
- Lead DMS meetings with internal and external DoD and industry customers.
- Develop technical and cost proposals.
- Assist in identifying and managing obsolescence risks.
