Job Description

As a Senior Project Engineer specializing in metal fabrication technologies, you will drive the development and delivery of efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes across Rockwell Automation facilities. This role focuses on identifying and implementing best-fit fabrication methods, maintaining and sharing process standards, and working with cross-functional teams to optimize tooling, equipment, and uptime.

You'll support the full lifecycle of metal stamping and tooling, from specification to build and qualificationensuring consistent application of the right technologies worldwide. You'll collaborate across Strategic Sourcing, Production, and Engineering to strengthen global manufacturing alignment and tackle equipment challenges through data-driven solutions. This role will report to the Manager, Fabrication Services.

This is a hybrid role based in Milwaukee, WI.

• Researches, develops and implements new and emerging metal fabrication technologies for applicability and cost saving potential.
• Works on complex issues varying in size and scope, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of product lifecycles, NPI, and manufacturing systems/process design.
• Ensures engagement with key project stakeholders, sharing knowledge based in facts & logic.
• Identifies, analyzes and manages project risk.
• Oversees process governance and process change management.
• Critically evaluates key factors (e.g., costs, benefits, timeliness, and risks) and all reasonable alternatives before making decisions.
• Helps translate vision of a desired future state of product manufacturing into clear priorities and practical plans for achieving that vision.
• Consistently moves problems towards resolution when encountering obstacles, uncertain conditions, or situations where lack of data or conflicting data means that there is no clear right choice; helps others do same
• Drives successful execution of new initiatives and projects by fulfilling individual responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
• The ability to travel up to 20% of the time

• 8+ years of experience in related field
• Experience in leading large manufacturing projects and developing assembly processes
• Experience with metal stamping tooling design or process
• Lean and Six Sigma project experience and certification
• Engineered-to-Order process experience (or high mix, low volume)
• PMP Certified
• Multi-lingual
