A utility services company in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for an Engineer Technician IV (Project Coordinator). This position will begin as a full-time in-office role and transition to a hybrid schedule, working 23 days per week in the office and 2 days in the field. This position does not support relocation, and candidates must reside near Seattle, WA upon applying. This role requires at least 5+ years of experience in utilities or telecom, with a strong preference for permitting and project coordination experience.

Pay $25.00$35.00/hour

Location Seattle, WA (Hybrid: 23 days onsite, 2 days fieldwork)

Schedule Standard MondayFriday (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities
  • This candidate will be responsible for supporting engineers in the planning, engineering, and design of electric and gas distribution systems.
  • Coordinate with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, and third-party joint pole owners.
  • Administer Joint Use fines, manage transfer notifications, and process Right-of-Way permitting applications.
  • Intake and manage engineering as-builts and customer applications.
  • Investigate work orders and manage Double Pole project statuses.
  • Maintain Master Pole Attachment Agreements and Certificates of Insurance for 150+ wireline customers.
  • Generate billing reports and collaborate with Cost Accounting to assign invoices.
  • Issue permits for Joint Use and Wood Pole Design teams.
  • Conduct field research, resolve customer complaints, and generate internal/external reports.
Qualification Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in utilities or telecom (engineering support, permitting, or project coordination).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, and construction/right-of-way documents.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with as-built documents and perform fieldwork in all weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
