Ford Performance seeks a highly experienced and driven Engineering Program Supervisor to lead our growing Heritage & Restoration programs.

In this position

This pivotal role demands proven leadership skills, an understanding of motorsports, and a passion for classic Ford vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all technical & engineering aspects of heritage projects, from customer support to new product development and homologation.

This role requires 5 days on-site in Allen Park, MI. Travel, including weekends, is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you'll do

  • Project Management: Lead multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within budget and to the highest quality standards. This involves managing internal and external teams, partners, and suppliers
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Support the business teams development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to maximize opportunities within the heritage and restoration sector. This includes defining clear technical objectives, project strategies, and a compelling vision for the team and stakeholders.
  • Engineering Leadership: Manage and collate any necessary CAD, arrange engineering test facilities or requirements, manage any rapid manufacturing requirements to deliver projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, engineering resources, including customers, global motorsports teams, external partners, governing bodies, and internal engineering groups.
  • Homologation & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee homologation processes, ensuring compliance with relevant road or motorsport regulations and authorities.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, track project financials, and provide regular status reports to senior management.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Innovation: Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to enhance the heritage and restoration business.
QUALIFICATIONS

You'll have

  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in program management, preferably within the automotive or motorsport industry.

Even better, you may have

  • Proven experience leading and delivering complex projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Passion for our products and keen interest in heritage vehicles
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills, ability to quickly build trust and establish credibility.
  • Demonstrated expertise in motorsport or road homologation processes and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically, including weekends.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to requested schedules as needed
