Sr. Learning Architect, Training and Certification

At SailPoint, the Community and Education team is on a mission to grow identity security skills to meet the increasing demand for talent in the industry. Reporting to the Training and Certification Development Senior Manager, were seeking a customer-centric Learning Architect to help us build the future of identity security education. Youll be responsible for developing deep technical domain knowledge and scaling it as you develop role-based, user-centric training and certification programs. As a Learning Architect, youll own the roadmap and development for one or more of our role-based training and certification paths, including a deep understanding of the skills and competencies identity security professionals need to drive success of identity security programs for SailPoints customers. As an integral part of the learning development process, you'll work cross-functionally with Product Management, Learning Experience Operations, Training Delivery and GTM teams to deliver effective, high-quality, role-based identity security training that helps learners succeed on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain deep domain and product knowledge across the identity security industry and SailPoints SaaS and on-premises solutions.

Define and execute the vision and roadmap for your role-based training path(s), reflecting customer and learner feedback, market trends, and business priorities in partnership with the Program Manager.

Transform existing product-focused training content into role-based training content aligning to business objectives and customer expectations.

Identify role-based training objectives as well as translate those objectives into clear, holistic learning strategies.

Build deep empathy for our learners and customers, understanding their knowledge gaps and learning journey, and validate plans to evolve our training programs.

Write outlines, scripts, storyboards, assessments, learner-centric questions, and learning activities adhering to the Education teams branding, technical writing standards, and guidelines.

Continuously improve training content and monitor accuracy and efficacy using learning feedback, performance data, and business / customer needs.

Effectively collaborate with Training and Certification Program Managers, Certification Developers, SMEs, LX Ops, GTM, and Training Delivery teams to ensure successful content launches and training utilization.

Serve as the subject matter expert and advocate for your role-based training path(s) and learner personas internally and externally.

Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture through knowledge sharing, developing new skills, and supporting continuous innovation in content development.

Requirements

Bachelors degree or 3-5 years of experience in learning experience design, technical content development, or related role with SaaS or enterprise technology.

Experience writing content for technical and non-technical audiences (e.g. Software/SaaS Customer/Partner/extended enterprise technology education, developer documentation, help center articles, IT administration books).

Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, learner-centric content.

Experience developing role-based training content (not just product feature walkthroughs) and a deep understanding of building cohesive learning journeys.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with persistence in gathering complete, accurate information from various stakeholders.

Strong cross-functional collaboration and self-direction in a remote, asynchronous work environment.

High emotional intelligence and growth mindset.

Ability to analyze learner data and propose content improvements.

Empathy for learners, a passion for solving problems, and a bias toward action and execution in fast-paced work environments.

Preferred:

Familiarity with cybersecurity and/or identity security technologies, SailPoints technology stack.

Experience working with customer journey mapping, audience personas, user experience design, and other holistic experience design models.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development workflows.

Interest in shaping team norms, processes, and ways of working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with learning experience design tools such as Articulate 360, video production, demo and simulation tools, and Learning Management Systems focused on Extended Enterprise.

Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Teams, Asana and Confluence.

SailPoint Certified Professional or Engineer a plus.

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoints differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$87,500 - $125,000 - $162,500

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employees home location.
