Ashland, ME - FT/Nights Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Job Description:

Immediate openings for Mill Laborers with a well-established employer in Ashland. Great entry-level opportunity with competitive pay and opportunities to move into more advanced roles. Benefits available after temp-to-hire period. Full-time/Nights; 5:00 PM 5:00 AM, 4 days per week, Monday Friday. Some overtime available as needed. $21.93/hr. + $2.00/hr. night shift differential. Attendance bonuses available.

Mill Laborers will be responsible for operating and maintaining basic machinery used in the lumber production process. Employees will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe processing of raw logs into finished lumber products.

Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery, such as saws, conveyors, and planers.
• Load/unload raw materials and finished products from equipment or work areas.
• Inspect finished lumber to ensure that products conform to quality standards.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures as directed by site supervisor.
• Notify management of any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Ability to operate machinery, stand for extended periods, and move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
• Background check required.

Schedule: Full-time/Nights; 5:00 PM 5:00 AM, 4 days per week, Monday Friday. Some overtime available as needed.
Pay: $21.93/hr. + $2.00/hr. night shift differential. Attendance bonuses available.
