This position is full time teaching position. This position is on-site and class times vary but are typically held Monday through Friday.Primary Responsibilities:Facilitate student learning through mentoring and engaging with students in settings individualizing learning strategies in support of our students.Collaborate with colleagues and students, cultivating an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment.Design and revise the curriculum through an equity-minded, student-centered, antiracist lens.Ensures the course content and teaching resources are inclusive and designed to encompass students enrolled in our programs eliminating barriers and creating a culturally responsive pedagogy.Engage in college committees and activities driven to ensure a culturally responsive culture.Provide holistic support designed to foster student success and the development of students? engagement in lifelong learning.Support continuous improvement efforts utilizing assessment data to bolster accreditation efforts. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Professional RequirementState of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician LicensePreferred QualificationExperience integrating simulation-based learning technologies into curriculumTeaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably at a two-year collegePrior on-line experience using D2L Brightspace platform or equivalent information management systemDemonstrated commitment to quality instruction and continuous improvementAbility to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilitiesAbility to communicate effectively with students and peersExperience in curriculum development at the professional levelEffective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skillsOther RequirementsIn accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State?s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.A job offer may be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
