About the Role: A well-established and family-focused commercial contractor is seeking a Commercial Estimator with 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating. This is a key opportunity to join a tight-knit team working on diverse projects, including ground-up municipal buildings and creative private renovations.You’ll be instrumental in preparing accurate, competitive bids, collaborating closely with project teams, and ensuring estimates align with quality standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and full estimates for private and municipal projects
  • Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans/specs
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor/vendor proposals
  • Develop bid scopes and ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents during preconstruction
  • Analyze project costs and identify value engineering options
  • Prepare conceptual budgets, hard bids, and GMP estimates
  • Maintain and update estimating templates, historical data, and unit pricing
  • Attend pre-bid site walks and meetings as needed

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, PlanSwift/On-Screen Takeoff, and Excel
  • Ability to read and understand plans/specs thoroughly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills—manage multiple estimates at once
  • Clear, professional communication skills (written & verbal)
