- Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning.
- Executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
- Industry specific knowledge regarding operations, equipment, methods, and materials
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling
- cost control, and quality control
- Computer skills - specifically spreadsheets, word processing programs, and e-mail
- Responsible for managing all manpower, subs, and resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 100% responsible for quality control
- Lead by example and maintain high visibility on-site to be accessible for inspection and direction.
- Professionally represent Charter through proper signage and site organization
- Establish clear expectations for all site personnel and observe progress regularly.
- Promptly address substandard work and become actively involved in the solution process.
- Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies
- Maintain proper documentation and communication regarding submittals, RFI's, and change orders.
- Utilize resources to obtain technical knowledge in regard to work performed by other trades to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Complete punch lists in a timely manner BUDGET:
- Forecast manpower consistent with scope of work and within budget allocation.
- Tool invoices reflect utilization consistent with projections.
- Procure materials based on progress and schedule to allow lead time to coordinate logistics of delivery, assess quality, quantity / amount, and cost.
- Analyze production problems and recommend solutions.
- Accurately codes labor and job costs
- Develop daily schedules consisting of adequate labor and equipment based on the requirements of the specific tasks Develop a schedule based on per-construction estimate documentation.
- Consistently analyze schedules versus hours to forecast crew size, subcontractor utilization, and material procurement
- Complete and submit daily logs to align current progress with project projections Maintain constant communication regarding the project schedule, subcontractor timelines, inspections, milestones, and quality control
- Continually strives for excellence Professionally represent Charter in regard to owners, architects, subcontractors, and company personnel.
- Promote a cooperative team environment with common goals.
- Arrive on time and prepared for all meetings.
- Engage in professional conduct regarding conflict management, problem resolution, and performance issues.
- Capitalize on opportunity to assist with training and skill development.
- Monitor site orientation to ensure priorities and expectations are clear.
