The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role:
The Technical Drafter / BOM Specialist who is seeking a self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment. Experienced in CAD, detail-oriented, and driven to join our growing team. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed technical drawings and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support engineering, manufacturing, and procurement processes. This role bridges the gap and collaborates with sales, design, and production, ensuring that all documentation is precise, up-to-date, and aligned with project/job requirements. Additionally, this position will source new component part requirements, part number creation along with accurate costing for all project demands.

What You’ll Do at Justrite:
- Serve as a member of the engineering team to deliver timely, accurate information to the engineering, sales, and production teams, as well as internal and external customers.
- Work directly with the Engineering Manager and the Engineering Team to answer questions and resolve issues raised by team members and other staff, including Sales and Operations.
- Create and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on sales requests, engineering sketches, specifications, and design changes, as well as verify and confirm the accuracy of work performed by others in the engineering team.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to ensure drawing accuracy and manufacturability.
- Ensure all drawings and BOMs comply with company standards and industry regulations.
- Manage document control processes for engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assist in the standardization of drafting and BOM practices across projects.
- Assist in various Continuous Improvement, VAVE, and Development initiatives to identify opportunities for cost savings, new projects, and improved processes.
- Communicate and collaborate with the engineering team and production to ensure process flow of current projects are on time.
- Willingness to learn and perform other tasks as required
Your Skills and Expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
- Associate’s degree
- Certification in Solid Works, and/or other 3D modeling software
- Certification in AutoCad.
- AutoCAD drafting experience with the ability to pull out features and develop and manipulate parts. Review newly created parts to prepare for the nesting operation.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Engineering Degree or working toward is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good Verbal and Written communication skills
- Quick learner with drive to learn new things.
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $54,000 to $60,000.
Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
