Senior Tunnel Surveyor/ Tunnel Party Chief Surveyor (Heavy Civil Construction Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en) We are currently looking for a S enior Tunnel Surveyor/ Tunnel Party Chief Surveyor to join our team for a construction project in Norfolk, Virginia . -Project: tunnel/ highway/bridge/structure -Estimated duration of the position: 1 year - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity. -Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all surveying activities related to slurry TBM excavation. Ensure the accuracy of survey data and its proper integration with the TBM guidance systems. Work closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure correct tunnel alignment and progress. Generate technical reports, review data, and manage as-built documentation. Lead and coordinate the survey team across shifts and liaise with subcontractors. -Requirements: A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Land Surveyor on tunnelling projects, linear works, roads, structures, heavy civil construction or similar. Strong understanding of geodetic systems, GNSS, and total stations. Proficient in technical English (spoken and written). Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in surveying or geospatial disciplines are a plus (e.g., PLS, RPLS, or equivalent). -Working hours: Monday to Friday, 12 hours.
