Equipment Operator Journey 2 (PCN 25N25026 & 25N25027) State of Alaska - 3.9 Thompson, AK Job Details Full-time $32.02 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Mid-level Full Job Description JOB ATTENTION ALL ALASKA RESIDENTS!The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation Valdez District is looking for a non-permanent full-time Equipment Operator Journey 2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!What you will be doing: Equipment Operator Journey 2:Operate 8-yard dump trucks with plow, sander, and blade attachments for snow removal and aggregate haulingUse motor graders for ditching, surface repair, and snow operationsTransport heavy equipment with semi-tractors, lowboys, belly dumps, and water tankersOperate dozers (D4-D7), loaders, and snow blowers for material handling and snow removalPerform loader work in pits, snow dumping, and material loadingHandle general duties: flagging, maintenance, manual labor, and shop cleanupMay act as lead, entering daily data into the State MMS systemOperate steam boilers to thaw drainage structuresWeld and cut materials for equipment maintenance and repairOur organization, mission, and culture: Our mission is to maintain safe, reliable infrastructure while prioritizing the well-being of our community and team.
