Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding
requirements.
Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and de-burring.
Select appropriate welding procedures, equipment, and materials (wire, filler, gases).
Calibrate tools and operate welding equipment, including TIG and MIG machines.
Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless
steel.
Inspect and test the quality of welds using precision measuring instruments and visual
inspection.
Repair defective welds as necessary.
Maintain welding equipment and ensure a clean and organized work area.
Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent injuries and accidents.
Assist with other fabrication projects as required.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Knowledge of different metal types and their welding properties.
Understanding of welding best practices and safety procedures.
The essential functions of this role include:
manual lifting up to 40lbs working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
