Job Description:

  • Lead and manage the QA team, ensuring alignment with business goals and project timelines.
  • Own and develop the QA strategy, including manual and automated testing frameworks tailored to manufacturing and supply chain applications.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices for testing methodologies, tools, and documentation across all projects.
  • Supervise QA team performance and provide mentorship to ensure team members excel in their roles.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative, results-driven team culture.
  • Identify training needs and promote the professional development of team members.
  • Design and implement robust automated testing scripts and frameworks capable of validating complex workflows in manufacturing and supply chain systems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate automated testing into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Maintain and advance automation coverage for both front-end and back-end systems to minimize manual testing overhead.
  • Work closely with development teams, product managers, and business analysts to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide timely feedback to developers based on testing outcomes, ensuring defects are resolved before production releases.
  • Coordinate discussions with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment on quality goals and deliverables.
  • Establish performance benchmarks for QA processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency in testing workflows.
  • Ensure QA practices adhere to regulatory and compliance standards relevant to manufacturing and supply chain software, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and federal export regulations.
  • Regularly audit software quality metrics and reporting to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
  • Continually evolve QA strategies to address emerging challenges in manufacturing and supply chain software.
  • Stay updated on new testing tools and technologies, integrating relevant ones to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Advocate for the use of AI-powered testing tools and frameworks to enhance automation and accuracy.
