Maintenance Supervisor

RMK Management is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance operations at our 133-unit high-rise rental property located in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago. This is a full-time position offering a competitive pay up to $36 hourly (based on experience) along with a full benefits package. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and proven experience in building operations, resident service, and vendor management. A few of your main duties:

• Work with the Property Manager to assess needs and priorities for maintenance staff to keep the property in the best possible condition
• Supervise and perform daily maintenance operations including service requests, unit turns, and preventive maintenance
• Supervise and assign duties for the janitorial team
• Coordinate with vendors and oversee contracted work
• Establish and monitor preventative maintenance procedures
• Respond to after-hours emergencies
• Assist with the coordination of purchasing tools and supplies necessary to keep property in best possible condition
• Diagnose and repair appliances
• Maintain courteous communications with residents, staff, and vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

2-3 years of apartment maintenance experience

Have your own hand tools

HVAC Certification a big plus!

Knowledge of carpentry, appliances, electrical, and plumbing

Must be able to work independently and also as a valuable team asset
