Construction Estimator

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering accurate estimates, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

• Quantity Takeoffs: Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications to determine the quantities of materials required for each project component.

• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors, negotiating prices to ensure competitive bids while maintaining quality standards.

• Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing project budgets and forecasts based on estimated costs and project timelines.

• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess project risks and uncertainties that may impact cost estimates, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related correspondence in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment throughout the estimating process.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

• Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and relevant regulations in all estimating activities.
