What youll be doing

The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a project, facility, or organization. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining timelines and budgets. The Superintendent serves as the on-site leader and ensures that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Ensure that all work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specifications.

  • Monitor project progress and prepare reports for senior management or clients.

  • Maintain communication with project managers, clients, engineers, and inspectors.

  • Enforce safety regulations and protocols.

  • Review and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Oversee quality control to ensure workmanship meets required standards.

  • Manage inventory, materials, and equipment on-site.

  • Resolve issues or delays in a proactive and timely manner.

  • Conduct inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.

What skills and experience you'll bring to us

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, education, or related field preferred (depending on industry).

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a supervisory or management role.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
