We are seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Cable Design Engineer to join our Lunar program. In this role you will work with avionics design engineers to develop the overall system interconnect harness and block diagrams for system definition as well as design the individual harnesses to implement design specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Work with avionics enclosure designers to ensure that the enclosures meet the specified wiring harness and connector hardware requirements.
• Define and execute the tests required to perform cable workmanship and functional verifications.
• Work with manufacturing technicians and quality engineers to identify improvements to the cable designs.
• Interact with other design teams and the avionics team to coordinate cable routing and channelization changes.
• Work with suppliers to determine the best design practices and components selection.
• Participate in design, manufacturing readiness, and test readiness reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
• Three years of experience working hands-on with various types of cable and avionics unit hardware.
• Enthusiastic and comfortable in a fast-paced, quickly changing, challenging environment.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with power systems on aircraft or spacecraft
• Experience with mechanical systems
