The Mechanical Engineer will support and grow the Ecolab RD&E Institutional Dish Machine Rental Program, which designs commercial dishmachines for restaurants and commercial operations. In this position, you will lead and execute a variety of continuing engineering projects with a focus on driving reliability and product quality improvement and collaborate with our service & supply chain teams to collect input and provide feedback. Work involves development of innovative electromechanical systems and components, design, analysis, test, transfer to manufacturing, tracking of quality complaints and continuing engineering opportunities, and project management.
This role focuses on creating innovative solutions to quality and reliability challenges that improve customer experience and enhance safety and value.
What you will do:
Plan, lead, and execute design activities to improve reliability of products.
Apply engineering principals to propose and implement solutions to solve key customer challenges.
Monitor, analyze and prioritize quality management systems to drive data driven quality improvements to end products.
Test, evaluate and analyze equipment solutions to determine or prove performance and reliability.
Develop and document specifications and cost estimates for components and systems.
Identify and evaluate technologies that may advance the performance and reliability of existing and new products.
Support development of new innovative platforms that meet strategic business needs and protect Ecolabs market leading position.
Communicate quality improvements to the broader service and manufacturing teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and 2 years of relevant work experience or masters degree and 1year of work experience.
One year of design, product development and manufacturing background with experience in plastic part design and sheet metal design.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and 4 years of relevant work experience
Experience in analysis of fluid mechanics and system design.
Experience with various engineering design and analysis tools. SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation a plus.
Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently as well as with others while handling multiple tasks or projects.
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $98,600.00 - $148,000.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.Benefits
