Desk Estimator

Paul Davis Restoration, Inc. is a national leader in property damage emergency services, restoration, and reconstruction for residential and commercial properties. We are seeking a Desk Estimator to prepare accurate, timely estimates and supplements for reconstruction and emergency services projects. Working from 3D scans and Project Director scopes, you will create detailed estimates, collaborate with clients for approvals, and ensure profitability targets are met. This role requires technical estimating expertise, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for reconstruction and emergency services using Xactimate or Symbility from 3D scans and provided scopes.
  
  
• Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment while meeting client and company service standards.
  
  
• Use PDO QA for peer reviews to ensure estimate accuracy and compliance.
  
  
• Document and communicate change orders and insurance supplements as needed.
  
  
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and adjusters to secure approvals.
  
  
• Ensure all projects meet or exceed minimum gross profit margin standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience.
  
  
• Proficiency in Xactimate and/or Symbility (required).
  
  
• At least 1 year of experience in a trade, craft, or restoration-related position.
  
  
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally over the phone and via video conferencing.
  
  
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  
  
• Industry certifications (Level 13, IICRC, Lead) preferred.
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical and computer skills (iPhone, iPad, RMS, MICA, estimating platforms).
  
  
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational abilities.
  
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  
  

Work Environment & Travel

• Remote/home office environment.
  
  
• Less than 20% travel required; occasional visits to the originating office and annual company meetings.
