ECS is seeking a Senior Azure Architect to work remotely . Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Azure Technical Subject matter expert to support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as part of a mission-critical IT support team. The ideal candidate would also have hands-on experience managing SharePoint environments particularly integrating and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure services, and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). This role involves daily administration of enterprise collaboration systems, user support, platform optimization, and cross-platform integration to enhance mission delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and support SharePoint environments, including SharePoint Online (M365) and/or SharePoint Server.
- Collaborate with DHS program teams to implement, configure, and maintain SharePoint-based solutions for collaboration, workflow automation, and document management.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments integrated with SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Collaborate with business units and developers to design and implement solutions that meet functional and technical requirements.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments integrated with SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
- Maintain and enforce governance policies and best practices.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DHS security controls and data protection policies.
- Support migrations, including legacy system transitions to SharePoint Online using tools such as ShareGate.
- Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and change management activities.
- Content Labeling for ingestion via Azure AI Services
- Copilot Studio Implementations
- SharePoint Advanced Management
- Architect/design/develop SPFx solutions
- Out of the box and custom reporting solutions for large scale/complex tenant
- Modernization of InfoPath forms and 2013 Workflows
- Architect/design SharePoint & Power Platform solutions for integration with other LOB systems
- Oversee the operational management of Azure services (Azure AI services, Logic Apps, Azure functions, Azure Virtual Machines, etc.), ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead the resolution of complex incidents and service requests, providing expert support and guidance.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce operational procedures and documentation for Azure and SP management.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support the implementation of solutions and integrations.
- Perform regular system health checks, monitor for performance, and conduct capacity planning.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and future innovation.
- Act as an escalation point for high-impact operational issues and provide strategic recommendations.
- Lead operational support tasks, including system monitoring, user provisioning, access reviews, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain operational procedures and documentation as needed.
- Drive the automation and optimization of operational processes to reduce manual workload.

- Understanding of cloud governance, permissions models, and security compliance in federal environments.
- Experience with migration and provisioning tools such as ShareGate or Metalogix.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to document processes and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Jira project management and issue tracking
- Experience in Agile business practices.
Desired Skills
- Experience with tools such as ShareGate, Nintex, or AvePoint.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Familiarity with Federal Government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, TIC, CISA directives).
- Experience working in hybrid or fully cloud-based Microsoft 365 environments.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-700 (Teams Admin), PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), or equivalent.
- Azure DevOps
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using ServiceNow for ticketing and ITSM functions.
