Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking qualified Structures Mechanics or Sheet Metal Mechanics to perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, along with varied drilling and riveting operations. The role involves safely performing sheet-metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft under general supervision. Coordination with supervision and inspection is essential to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs, and quality specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform sheet-metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts on aircraft.
+ Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and quality specifications.
+ Use blueprints to cut and form plastics, and follow standard operating procedures with adhesives, sealants, and solvents.
+ Shape and form complex angles and configurations according to blueprint specifications using proper tooling.
+ Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools.
+ Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment as required.
+ Assist in monthly 5S audits and use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
+ Assist in developing initiatives to meet individual OGSM requirements.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of Sheet Metal/Structure Modification Experience.
+ Experience in sheet metal fabrication is a huge plus.
+ Corporate Aircraft Experience is advantageous.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Tools Required for the role.
**Work Environment**
Enjoy a 1st shift opportunity, Monday through Friday from **7:00 AM to 4:00 PM** . The role is based at Greenville International Airport (KGSP), Greer, SC, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greer, South Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
