SUMMARY

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site and coordinates the movement of materials to the presses based on the types of production required. Assist press operators in quality control methods to ensure a high level of quality product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Stores product as received form production.

2.Assists with inventory of finished goods.

3.Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated staging areas.

  1. Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.

  2. Operates industrial truck or reach trucks to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

  3. Communicates with coworkers, management, staff, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

  4. Conforms with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

  5. Responds promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence and faxes.

  6. Acts, dresses, and behaves in an appropriate manner to conduct duties and reflect a positive image of the organization.

  7. Provides high quality customer service to all internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma and/or GED equivalent; one-month related experience or training.

  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of organization.

  3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

  4. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Compensation Information:

Starts at 17.80 USD Hourly
