We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of projects at midstream clients' facilities, including compressor and pumping stations. The role involves project estimating, scheduling, and overall project management, as well as control system definition, design, and development.
Responsibilities
+ Design and develop control system drawings, control logic, and documentation.
+ Program PLCs and develop HMI systems.
+ Supervise and coordinate control system assembly and installation.
+ Commission control systems.
+ Create I/O lists from P&IDs and electrical drawings.
+ Develop Cause & Effect matrices from I/O lists, P&IDs, and electrical drawings.
+ Design and draft AutoCAD drawings based on I/O lists, P&IDs, and electrical drawings.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in engineering, design, commissioning, and automation.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development.
+ Knowledge of instrumentation controls and calibration.
+ Understanding of medium and low voltage systems.
+ Ability to interpret project documents and read drawings.
+ 5-10 years of experience in PLC, HMI, and related fields (upstream, midstream, or downstream).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An engineering degree is preferred but not required.
+ Experience in midstream pipeline facilities, such as compressor stations and/or pumping stations.
+ Project coordination skills.
+ Familiarity with electrical systems, RFI, and change orders.
Work Environment
The position involves both office-based engineering support work and fieldwork for work verifications and client interfacing. Candidates will have opportunities to engage with multiple departments as the company seeks to grow its local presence. Some travel is required, typically lasting 2-3 weeks at a time, 2-3 times per year.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
