Mechanical Engineer (RF Systems)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Longmont, CO . This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of advanced mechanical systems, with a focus on RF architectures and technologies . You will be involved in the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping to testing and production supporting projects that span multiple domains including aerospace, defense, and communications . The work includes building RF systems for emerging space applications and multi-domain communications architectures, enabling mission-critical capabilities across a wide range of platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in hardware development, qualification, and delivery
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
• Strong drafting skills with knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance analysis
• Familiarity with project stage-gate reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR)
• Experience instress, modal, and thermal analysis
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person

Preferred Skills:

• Background in satellite hardware design
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability and production optimization
• Experience with simulation tools like SolidWorks Simulation, Thermal Desktop, NASTRAN, or ANSYS
• Familiarity with RF systems, antennas, and electronic enclosures
• Understanding of space hardware standards (materials, coatings, COTS, NASA standards)
• Experience in AS9100 or similar quality systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
