As a Laborer (Motor Vehicle Opering), you will perform the following duties:

Maintains buildings, grounds, roads, and trails.

Operes heavy power equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, brush cutters, brush chippers, portable snow blowers, and all types of hand and light power tools (such as shovels, pulaskis, picks, digging bars, rakes, lawn edging equipment, electric drills etc.).

Loads and unloads supplies and merials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc.

Moves furniture, removes and sets signs, paints picnic tables and signs, rakes and wers lawns, trims trees and shrubbery, picks up litter, cleans and repairs fire pits.

Digs ditches and trenches with pick and shovel.

Mixes and pours concrete, asphalt, and hot/cold mix; fills and levels holes in damaged roads.

Moves heavily loaded wheelbarrows and hand trucks.

Cuts trees and heavy vegetion with axe, chainsaw, or powered brush cutters.

Performs janitorial duties for buildings and grounds.

Qualificions

SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position operes light duty motor vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds (to include pick-up trucks, panel trucks, and flbed trucks) to transport personnel, merials, or equipment to work sites and a valid driver's license is required. You required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operor's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a Ste sealed envelope or submitted directly by the Ste authorities), and your own expense, all certified driving records from all Stes th disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you. Candides who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further considerion for this position.

Physical Demands: The work performed requires the exertion of modere to very heavy physical effort. The work involves lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds, and in some cases, carrying 80 to 100 pounds.

Working Conditions: Outside work is usually performed under all kinds of weher conditions. Indoor work is often accomplished in office buildings or in well-lighted, heed, and ventiled areas such as warehouses, loading docks, or trade shops. Frequently exposed to weher and temperure extremes, drafts, noise, dust, and dirt and the possibility of bruises, muscle strains, cuts and scrapes. Work requires the employee to follow proper safety procedures and use standard safety equipment such as gloves, ear protectors, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes to avoid possible hazards in the work area.

The Nional Park Service has determined th the duties of this position are not suitable for telework.
