Project Engineer (Project Engineer) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Interiors and Payloads Design Engineering team located in Tukwila, Washington. A successful member of this team will understand and execute new product development processes and modifications and upgrades for the USAF E-7 and P-8 programs respectively. Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements Works with customers and management to obtain approval Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules Leads project execution to complete the work statement Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans. Works under minimal direction This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 3+ years experience in EVM and Silver Medallion Certification 5+ years' experience multi-discipline project management Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers is preferred Experience with complex systems development and integration preferred Experience with leading project execution to complete the work statement is preferred Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value management, DOORs, CAMEO) Experience with Model Based Engineering Experience with Agile/JIRA Troubleshooting engineering skills Experience as a CAM or CAM delegate Relocation: This position does not offer relocation Union: This is a union represented position.
