Position Summary

The Architectural Draftsperson will work closely with the design and construction teams to produce precise drawings and visualizations for commercial interior renovation projects. Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite, you'll transform concepts into clear, buildable plans while collaborating across disciplines to resolve challenges efficiently.

Responsibilities

Develop accurate and detailed construction documents, floor plans, elevations, and sections using REVIT, AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Assist design staff with presentation graphics utilizing all programs available to you.

Coordinate and review markups and tasks in Bluebeam.

Collaborate with designers and project managers to translate concepts and redlines into actionable technical drawings.

Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.

Continuously educate themselves and the team on ADA codes critical for life safety, reach ranges, millwork design and clearances in regard to space planning.

Proactively identify and resolve design or documentation conflicts.

Participate in project meetings and communicate status updates clearly.

Organize and maintain drawing files and project documentation. Assist Director in developing and updating documentation standards and training the design and construction teams on these standards.

Support the team in various phases, from schematic design through construction administration.

Travel as needed, for site visits and detailed measurements of commercial properties. Organize information and relay to design and purchasing team for order of fixtures, furnishings and materials.

Qualifications

Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (preferred).

2-5 years of professional experience in commercial interior design or renovations.

Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

Experience in utilizing Procore, PlanGrid, Navisworks or similar application for coordinating multiple disciplines.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce clear, accurate drawings.

Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage deadlines.

Strong communication skills; comfortable collaborating with team members and clients.

Quick problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude.

Ability to thrive in a laid-back, supportive, and growth-oriented environment.
