Job Title: Roofer I
Reports To: Foreman / Supervisor
Job Summary: The Roofer I position is an entry-level role responsible for assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems under direct supervision. The Roofer I will learn to work with different roofing materials and tools while adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation of roofing materials such as shingles, asphalt, metal, and tiles.
Remove old roofing materials and debris from the job site.
Prepare the roof surface for the installation of new materials.
Carry materials and tools to and from the worksite.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and securing materials.
Support the team with additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of roofing materials and tools.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials minimum of 40LBS, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Must be willing to travel to job sites with some overnight travel.
Valid Driver License is a plus.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
No prior roofing experience required.
Working Conditions:
Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Exposure to heights and potentially hazardous materials.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Daily Per Diem provided during travel.
