Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for reconstruction projects based on onsite inspections, photographs, and mitigation estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary data for estimating.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure accurate bid submissions.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and local building codes.
- Provide detailed reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in negotiations and adjustments to project scopes as needed.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in reconstruction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in Xactimate and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and sales skills for client interactions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in Xactimate
The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, a non-profit organization for the Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Industries. The IICRC, originally named the International Institute of Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Inc. (IICUC), was founded in 1972 by Ed York. Since starting in 1972, the IICRC has evolved into a global organization with more than 49,000 active Certified Technicians and more than 6,500 Certified Firms around the world.
The IICRC is managed by its Board of Directors, which is composed of 15 industry leaders elected by the IICRCs Shareholders. The Board of Directors function is to represent the various interests of the applicants while leading the direction of the organization. The Board of Directors meets four times per year and is tasked with the responsibility of helping shape future policies of the organization and uphold the standards that help shape the industry.
