The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the worlds largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, is recruiting a full-time Senior Foundation Development Manager to join its dynamic Foundation group . The Foundation , a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, serves as the philanthropic arm of the Academy and is the only charitable organization devoted exclusively supporting nutrition and dietetics professionals by empowering them to help consumers live healthier lifestyles.

The Senior Foundation Development Manager will lead member giving across all campaigns and initiatives, taking full ownership of crafting targeted, segmented, and innovative appeals. In this work-from-home option role, you will report directly to the Foundations Development Director. Your primary objectives will include boosting annual giving, driving donor progression through a structured moves management system, and acquiring new supporters.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a strategic, member-centric solicitation plan that directly supports targeted Foundation priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Donor Database Manager to analyze donor trends, identify prospective supporters and recruit new donors.
  • Craft and deploy innovative solicitation messaging tailored to key audiences and initiatives.
  • Leverage Donor analytics to create and execute segmented, data-driven appeal campaigns.
  • Plan an oversee all aspects of member giving initiatives during FNCE
  • Support major gift fundraising efforts as needed to deepen Donor engagement and expand institutional support.
  • Supervise the fundraising efforts of the Recipient Engagement Council.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in English, Communications or other liberal arts concentrations is preferred.
  • Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously, creatively and often under deadline pressure
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Raisers Edge NXT with measurable success in fundraising campaigns.
  • A minimum 5+ years of experience in nonprofit Development roles (e.g. association foundation, university, hospital or health/social services organizations).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Raisers Edge NXT
  • Exceptional multitasking skills, along with creativity and adaptability under deadline pressure.
