Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee an LP Generator Major Inspection/Stator Rewind project. This role requires a strong background in power station operations, particularly in generator and turbine systems.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Lead on-site execution of assigned projects with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.
- Maintain a consistent physical presence on-site (minimum 80%) to monitor progress, resolve conflicts, and ensure schedule adherence.
- Conduct field inspections to verify quality of work and materials provided by vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work aligns with contract specifications, regulatory codes, and company standards.
- Monitor supplier performance against Scope of Work (SOW).
- Report deviations and quality concerns to the Project Manager promptly.
- Provide regular status updates and inspection reports to management.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and safety personnel to address issues and maintain project momentum.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project management, with at least 3 years in a construction management role.
- High school diploma required; additional technical or engineering education preferred.
- Proven experience with power generation equipment including turbines, generators, pumps, motors, and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and equipment utilization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with OSHA scaffolding requirements and industry safety standards.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Must be physically capable of working in field conditions (confined spaces, climbing, respirator use, etc.).
