General Laborer

Our client, a leader in the industrial sector, is seeking a General Labor - Heavy to join their team. As a General Labor - Heavy, you will be part of the production team supporting various operational functions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Labor - Heavy

Location: Scotia, NY

Pay Range: $21.32 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift Mon-Thurs 6am-3:30pm, Friday 5am-1:30pm

What's the Job?

• Learn how to safely and efficiently operate production equipment while performing general production tasks.
• Inspect product shipments for accuracy and verify the absence of manufacturing defects.
• Perform hand labor tasks such as stripping, folding, counting, and taping boxes.
• Measure work piece dimensions with a calibrated tape measure to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate observations regarding machine operation and defects to operators and supervisors.

What's Needed?

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize non-conforming materials.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety and operational procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• No prior experience required; we welcome all eager candidates.
