Hiring: Experienced Carpenter Historic Restoration & Adaptive Reuse

Were a small, hands-on general contracting company based in downtown Raleigh, specializing in the adaptive reuse of commercial buildings. Were looking for a reliable, experienced carpenter who knows their way around both rough and trim work, and has solid experience in historic restoration.

About the Work:

Carpentry work on commercial renovations mostly downtown Raleigh

Rough framing, trim, millwork, window and door restoration, etc.

Historic building restoration using appropriate tools and materials

Reading plans, staying on schedule, and working independently or with a crew

Maintaining a clean and safe work site

Solving on-site problems and coming up with practical solutions in older buildings

What Were Looking For:
Experience with historic restoration (not just residential remodels)
Solid skills in rough and finish carpentry
Strong problem-solving skills able to adapt to field conditions and think on your feet
Familiar with tools, materials, and traditional techniques
Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional
Experience with adaptive reuse or commercial jobs is a plus
OSHA 10 or 30 preferred, but not required
