Summary: The Superintendent shall have extensive knowledge of Electric Utility URD and LV Underground Facilities, Equipment and Cabling. The candidate must have the ability to read and understand Construction Drawings, Feeder Maps and Electrical Schematics. Be able to manage multiple electrical projects and supervise the day-to-day activities involved with construction, maintenance and troubleshooting of new and existing electrical circuits. The Superintendent should be capable of assessing the resources needed to complete a construction project and generate cost estimates to help set and meet the project budget. The Superintendent must hold LOTO Qualifications and be able to switch and tag safely on the Pepco / Exelon Electrical Distribution Systems.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise Foremen and ensure effective leadership and management of on-site field crews & subcontractors
- Perform necessary switching and tagging.
- Oversee daily operations at construction sites
- Coordinate scheduling of field crew and subcontractors.
- Hire, train, and manage construction workers
- Work directly with project / construction managers to ensure project specifications are met.
- Manage overall safety of projects and personnel
- Report any problems and/or safety hazards to Safety Director
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, State regulations, and all safety policies and procedures
- Conduct preconstruction planning and meetings
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs
- Monitor and report on project progress
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:
- May assist supervisor with assignments while on site
- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- 15 + Years Electric Utility experience is preferred
- Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience
- Basic computer skills with experience in TOA applications
- Ability to work effectively with minor supervision
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to read and write in English

Pay Range: $106,000 - $135,000
