Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Project Manager to lead and oversee the full lifecycle of Building Management System (BMS) projects, from scope definition to project close-out. This role requires a seasoned professional who can efficiently manage project revenue, ensure timely milestone delivery, and maintain strong relationships with contractors and clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating with internal and external teams to deliver smart, sustainable solutions that enhance facility performance. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire BMS project lifecycle, including scope, procurement, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, commissioning, and close-out.
- Own $610M in project revenue annually, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure milestone delivery, punch list closure, documentation handoff, and system commissioning.
- Manage relationships with general contractors and coordinate worksite activities and field communications.
- Track project budgets, schedule forecasts, and support financial reporting in partnership with internal finance.
- Serve as the primary project contact for customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with Controls Technicians and subcontractors on daily work scopes, installation quality, and safety compliance.
- Escalate workforce constraints or general contractor issues to the BMS Operations Manager.
- Participate in project meetings with general contractors, customers, and internal departments.
- Collaborate with the BMS Engineering team on system design questions, documentation revisions, and engineered drawing updates.
- Support Change Orders by helping scope, price, and approve updated design or software elements in coordination with Sales Engineers and Engineering.
- Align with Procurement and Engineering to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Ensure field changes and as-built updates are accurately captured for documentation.
- Conduct system checkouts, point-to-point testing, and oversee final commissioning of BMS systems.
- Identify risks or integration challenges early and lead solutions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Automation and building automation expertise.
- Proficiency in Tridium Niagara and BMS controls.
- 5+ years of project management experience in BAS/BMS Controls, low-voltage systems, or building automation.
- Strong working knowledge of BMS platforms such as Tridium Niagara.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with conduit installation practices (EMT, IMC) and data center or critical facility environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
- PMP certification preferred.
- Must be willing to travel at least 100% of the year (locally and out of state).
