We are seeking a highly organized and forward-thinking Operations and Construction Manager to oversee and optimize operational functions and construction initiatives across our facilities. This role ensures all projects and initiatives are delivered on time, with a focus on compliance with regulatory standards, and is able to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the organization. The ideal candidate combines leadership, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of schedule and resource management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Operations Management:
* Implement daily operations to ensure seamless service, cost control, and process efficiency.
* Implement systems that promote consistency, safety, and compliance across all locations.
* Coordinate procurement, vendor management, and interdepartmental workflows.
* Analyze operational KPIs and recommend strategic improvements. Construction Management:
* Oversee all phases of construction--from pre-planning through completion.
* Evaluate architectural plans and collaborate with designers, engineers, and contractors.
* Manage contractor performance, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and final inspections.
* Ensure all work complies with local building codes, OSHA standards, and internal design guidelines. Construction Projects:
* Develop and maintain detailed projects to ensure schedules, milestones, and critical paths.
* Monitor construction and operational timelines to ensure all deliverables remain on track.
* Identify schedule risks early and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays.
* Provide weekly progress updates and adjust resources as needed to meet deadlines.
* Coordinate cross-functional dependencies and ensure smooth handoffs between construction and operations teams. Club Layout Efficiency:
* Design and optimize facility layouts for maximum functionality, member flow, space optimization and safety.
* Use real-time data and usage metrics to refine space planning.
* Ensure areas such as entry points, workout zones, group spaces, and recovery rooms are logically arranged and in compliance with operational goals. ADA Compliance:
* Ensure all facilities meet or exceed ADA standards in design, construction, and operational access.
* Conduct periodic audits and proactively address accessibility issues in layout or equipment placement.
* Work with field teams to ensure all locations adhere to all legal requirements. PAGA and Schedule Compliance:
* Monitor labor-related operations to ensure alignment with California's Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) and wage & hour laws.
* Support HR in enforcing proper scheduling, time tracking, and break compliance.
* Maintain proper documentation and address potential compliance risks
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Multi-unit management and oversight
* Demonstrated success in keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
* Experience in optimizing physical spaces for customer-facing environments (clubs, fitness centers, retail, hospitality, etc.).
* Proficient in scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet) and project management platforms.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

* 5+ years of proven experience in operations and construction management.
* Deep understanding of ADA, PAGA, OSHA, and local building codes. Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
* Some work is performed in a standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Work entails typical physical demands involved in office work.
* Regularly required to work standard office equipment (personal computer, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
* Ability to work on a computer up to 7 hours a day.
* Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk Travel Requirement
* Travel to clubs and regional offices, up to 60% of the time. BENEFITS AT 24
