Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our facilities management team. You will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all electrical and electronic equipment in the facility with the exception of clinical equipment.

In this role you would:

• Inspect installs and replaces electrical circuits, light sockets, switches and appliances.

• Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters and other electrical test equipment.

• Install new electrical wiring and electrical components for machinery.

• Install conduit as required.

• Dismantle machinery or appliances and disconnects electrical controls to troubleshoot malfunction and determine the nature of the problem and repair as required.

• Maintain records of tests and repairs made to equipment.

• Maintain the emergency power system generator and associated switch gear; keeps records of tests and repairs.

• Maintain the fire alarm system; as much as technically possible, keeps records of tests and repairs.

• Make repairs to electronic equipment as required when technically possible.

Job requirements:

• High school or GED required

• Vocational or technical training preferred

• Journeyman card preferred

• Minimum of three (3) years electrical experience required

• Experience in healthcare preferred
