Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary Responsible for operating a variety of heavy construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company guidelines. Essential Duties Operates various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations. Ensures proper operation of heavy equipment by performing regular checks to confirm that each machine is functioning properly. Documents regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance. Regularly cleans and maintains heavy equipment to preserve its quality, functionality, and longevity. Ensures that the equipment is stored properly to prevent damage and ensure readiness for use. Reports equipment malfunctions and need for repairs to the appropriate parties. Abides by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures. Commits to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration. Other duties as required. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED required 2 to 5 years of experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, forklifts, and backhoes.
