Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Job Description
As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the construction document management of assigned project subsystems throughout the project duration. You will manage the engineering and implementation of design documents while reviewing and interpreting contract documents such as plans, specifications, and project criteria. Your role will involve providing technical reviews and incorporating subcontractor/vendor shop drawings, details, and product data into the design. You will also handle RFIs, design changes, and ensure compliance with project criteria, the National Electric Code, standards, and installation techniques for efficient system design.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction documents for assigned project subsystems.
- Engineer and implement design documents.
- Review and interpret contract documents including plans and specifications.
- Provide technical review and integrate subcontractor/vendor drawings and product data.
- Create and incorporate RFIs into the design.
- Review and incorporate design changes such as change orders and bulletins.
- Apply project criteria and installation techniques for compliant system design.
- Utilize BIM software for 3D modeling and system component alignment with project estimates and schedules.
- Collaborate with team members to create coordinated and clash-free models.
- Represent the company in design and trade coordination meetings.
- Create and submit installation shop drawings using BIM software.
- Interface with field staff to implement approved installation drawings.
- Prepare close-out documents such as as-built drawings.
- Assist with estimates to quantify scope of design changes.
Essential Skills
- Electrical construction management experience.
- Proficiency with electrical systems and low voltage systems.
- Experience with software such as Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Practical knowledge of electrical industry codes, standards, and installation techniques.
- Experience with NYC area building construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction management processes like RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience with project management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
