Summary of Job:

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for gathering and analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates of time, materials, equipment, and labor for assigned projects. Key responsibilities include performing detailed takeoffs, reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements, and developing itemized lists. The individual in this position will ensure pricing accuracy by liaising with vendors and subcontractors.

The Electrical Estimator will compute cost factors to support management in planning, organizing, and scheduling work, as well as preparing bids and selecting vendors. Collaboration is essential, as the individual in this role will participate in meetings with clients and other stakeholders to discuss estimates and resolve any issues that arise.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in construction or electrical trade preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel and Power Point with the ability to be trained in use of the company-specific applications and software
  • Accubid Enterprise experience a plus
